Liturgy
The work of the Liturgy Committee concerns the first and most important of all our activities as the Church, namely the proper celebration of the worship of God.
The liturgy (the Church’s public worship) happens not only on Sundays and weekdays, but added to that there are six different seasons throughout the year which have liturgical variations requiring careful preparation and planning.
The most challenging and most rewarding time is Holy Week with the Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Holy Saturday Vigil.
Members of the Liturgy Committee need to be reliable and committed for the long term because it not only takes time to develop the necessary knowledge, but also to assimilate the spirit of the liturgy.
